Meet Tina Lopez, E-RYT500, YACEP

Founding Director and CEO at The Modern Mystik

A passion for truth and playful curiosity are the driving forces behind Tina's vision for The Modern Mystik. Tina aims to teach how we can employ lost and hidden knowledge to achieve whole-life wellness by drawing on ancient science, wisdom, and esoteric practices. Her mission is to raise awareness and facilitate understanding of the many tools that have been deliberately hidden from humanity and tainted by misunderstanding.

Tina has been teaching yoga in her community for more than a decade, and she has earned the credentials of an experienced teacher and continuing education provider through the Yoga Alliance. She has taught in numerous teacher training programs and has mentored hundreds of yoga students and aspiring yoga teachers. Her training includes many styles of yoga, including Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Yin, Vinyasa, Iyengar Wall Yoga, pranayama, and meditation. She draws from the Yoga Sutras in her classes and infuses this ancient wisdom into her life.

In addition to teaching, Tina has facilitated team building and staff-development programs for local organizations and has led many engaging and entertaining workshops. When she is not teaching yoga, she is busy with her career in eye care operations management for a Fortune 500 company. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends and feeds her adventurous spirit and love for nature with traveling, hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

"Yoga is widely misunderstood in that many people think of it as some physical thing we do on a mat to achieve flexibility when, in fact, it has more to do with how we live in our daily lives to nurture fulfillment."-Tina L.

"In a world where it has become increasingly difficult to make sense of anything, we must embrace the essence of who and what we are at our most fundamental core. Centuries of distortion and dogma have hidden and corrupted the most precious gifts given to humanity. We must uncover our power and ignite the light that burns within each of us."-Tina L.
